We were so honoured to have Jana here with us yesterday, who was joined on the sofa by our Tutor and ‘Napoleon’ Prosthetics Supervisor, Satinder Chumber and also our Principal Christine Blundell! So privileged to hear behind the scenes stories from ‘Napoleon’ , that had so many large crowd scenes, multiple cameras and camera and makeup crews. Jana also designed previous Ridley Scott’s film ‘House of Gucci’ that was a much smaller film in comparison , but she was thrilled to design it because of her Italian heritage and her previous work she did in Italian fashion industry, before going into film.

Satinder said, “The work was Intense on Napoleon, we had to create 100 background bodies and 30 horse bodies and 15 likenesses as well as creating an image of 5 horses being guillotined.
The whole sfx makeup took along time to set up. Just like any big budget film there is a lot of preparation to be done.
“We were onset or in the workshop from late November 2021 until April 2022. It then moved on to post production.
It was an incredible experience working with such a legend as the Director “Ridley Scott.
To watch him direct was truly an amazing experience and the whole process from the sfx makeup to the hair and makeup were all incredibly professionals.
The nomination was reward for all the hard work.
