School Open Evening
Date TBC
Purpose of the Day
The purpose of the day is to get a clearer understanding of what you may be getting yourself into.
What will you be studying? Where? How?
Our makeup school open day is a very relaxed one. The emphasis is you seeing the school on a “normal day”. For the students it is having an extra day to really hone in on their skills that may be lacking. Projects are set up for the students to work on. This will be the first time that they will be viewed. Refreshments are at hand for the people looking round. We all understand that it is a big task to choose the right place of learning. The students have made that decision and so are perfectly apt to answer any questions that you may have. We always hope that Christine will be on hand, to discuss technical questions and also to share with us her latest film projects. That part is always popular and exciting!
There will be a tutor at hand to talk about teaching techniques and their life as a make up artist.
Importantly so, there will be our graduates milling around helping you with other questions as to what happens after the course.

Undecided?
If you are still undecided about joining our TV and Film Make-up Academy, we would really urge you to attend one of our popular Day Taster courses. When we throw open our doors to welcome prospective students and offer you a taste of what it is really like to be part of the CB*MA family.
Just grab a cuppa and a biscuit, and join us on a tour of our exciting studios. You will have plenty of time to meet the staff, make-up graduates and students, and bombard them with all those burning questions you have been dying to ask. By the end of the day we feel sure you will know this is the place to start your career in film and TV make-up.

Questions Answers
Searching the World Wide Web is all well and good; a bit of window-shopping, but as they say the proof is in the pudding. Needless to say you must go and see the said pudding! At the OPEN DAY there is Christine Blundell; the tutor; graduates and students. Many differing levels of expertise. All are important to ask questions to. All have different viewpoints. There are the obvious questions of what do you learn? Who teaches? By coming to the open day, you will see many of the answers.
Atmosphere is important; do the students look happy?
At CBMA, we guarantee the course will be an amazing experience! Yet what happens after? Many schools, say they offer aftercare. It was a term we coined! Yet what is this aftercare? How does it manifest itself? You can read our aftercare on another page.
Some schools mention location; being in a studio or close to the school is ‘key’. We disagree! We have students coming down from Scotland and Yorkshire; even Spain and Italy to do our courses. Needless to say, we help them out with finding accommodation. Distance is nothing compared to an excellent education!!
