Taster Course?
Doing our Taster course will give you an opportunity to experience a whole day of teaching at our prestigious London Makeup Academy, feel the atmosphere & learn new skills. It will also help you decide if you’d like to do a longer course with us, like our flagship 4 Month course for Film & TV Hair, Makeup & SFX.
Who will be teaching me?
You will be taught by a Professional Makeup artist who is actively working in the Film industry, so you can also chat to them about the industry & Makeup artistry as a career choice. Our Principal Christine Blundell is also usually at hand to answer your questions once the teaching finishes at 4pm, which gives you an opportunity to quiz an Oscar & BAFTA winning Hair & Makeup Designer, too!
What will I be taught?
We teach Casualty makeup basics at our Taster courses, which has proven to be really popular amongst the students so far. Learn about creating cuts & bruises, slit throats or bullet wounds & discover the casualty makeup skills used in films & TV programmes you watched in the past. We have a maximum of 12 students on our Taster course & we make sure that everyone receives a lot of attention from the tutor.

Attending our Day Taster course should help you decide if you want to do our 4 Month Film & TV Hair, Makeup & Special effects course.
