Which course is right for me?

We run one course, the Four Month Hair & Makeup SFX Course. It does what it is supposed to do; teach you the skills you need to enter the Industry as a trainee Makeup artist. Perfect!

How many students are there per class?

We are a boutique makeup school and run small courses with the maximum of 12-14 students per course and only have around 36-40 graduates per year. This allows us to focus on each individual makeup student and more importantly makeup graduate!

What is the course fee?

The Four Month Hair & Makeup Course costs £12,900 including VAT. Following a successful interview, a non-refundable deposit of £1,500 is required to secure your place. The full balance of the course fee is usually settled at least 5 weeks before the course commencement date. However, In some instances, we will be able to assist you by offering interest free payment plans, with £1,500 deposit fee due prior to the start of the course and the remaining balance of £11,400 divided into  monthly instalment payments. Please contact us for further payment plan information.

What's included in the fees?

Included in the price will be your personal professional kit: Kryolan , Maqpro, Louise Young Makeup Brushes, as well as access to our stock of leading brand products . All materials at the school are at your disposal, remember, this will be your home for the duration of the course.

What is the difference between CB*MA course and other makeup courses offered by other Makeup schools?

We are the only school to offer guaranteed paid work experience to all our students who are eligible to work in the UK. No other school has the calibre of tutors that we have. No other Academy has an Oscar & BAFTA winning Makeup Designer as its Director who is still actively working in the industry. No other makeup school has such a high success rate of Graduates working in the Industry.

If i don't want to do all of the CB*MA course, can i attend specific modules?

We believe that the only way to truly benefit from a course is to take the whole Four Months; it was designed that way. If you have experience and wish to top up on your skills you would be able to attend a shorter hair and makeup course module.

Who teaches the classes?
All our tutors are actively working in the TV, Film, Theatre etc industries. We have designers who designed “Game Of Thrones” “Avengers” “James Bond” “Wonder Woman” ….to name but a few.
What qualifications are needed for the course?
We are looking for hard working students, who are independent thinkers, with a know-how to plan and organise. Who understand what lays ahead.
How can i best prepare for the interview?
Planning will make your life easier. Come prepared with questions, you will need to convince us that you are the right student for our Academy.
I live far away from London. Do you provide telephone or online interviews?
We can begin the process of talking over the phone, but you will have to come to the Academy for an onsite meeting.
Do you take students under the age of 18?
We did have a couple of students under the age of 18 in the past, but this is quite rare; we generally prefer over 18s.
Do you provide certificates?
We do provide a certificate to students who have graduated. You must understand that there is no recognized certificate in the industry. What is recognized is Christine Blundell’s name and reputation for teaching excellent makeup trainees. That is the key.
Will you help me get work after the course?
We are the only UK based Makeup Academy to offer true “Aftercare”. We are here to help you for as long as it takes. There is no time limit.
Do your courses include work experience?

Yes onsite paid work experience after completion of your course is guaranteed to all students who are eligible to work in the UK.
